what happens if i forgot the security answer to my netgear security questions?

Hi and thanks for reaching out. My name is William. I'm a Windows technical expert. I'll be happy to aid you out today.

Information technology is not possible to reset security questions. However, If you cant remember the original pw you gear up the device up with initially, so y'all will nee to create a secondary local admin account to reset the pw for your primary account. To do this, you lot will need to create Windows ten boot media (on another computer) and boot from information technology as if you were going to install Windows, but will instead use this environment to create the new admin account. To create Windows ten installation boot media, come across this Microsoft article: https://world wide web.microsoft.com/en-u.s.a./software-downlo...

Alternatively, if you take Windows 10 DVD, y'all can boot from that, also.

After booting from the boot media, become to the department "Create a New User to Relieve Business relationship Files" in this guide: https://www.howtogeek.com/222262/how-to-reset-y...

Notation, the above link assumes your system drive is letter of the alphabet D:. If the command fails, then utilise C: in place of D: for the copy command.

This should piece of work, I take used it like scenarios.

I should add together, that to undo the commands you run, boot from the media like y'all did initially and from a command prompt enter this control: movement c:\windows\system32\utilman.exe.bak c:\windows\system32\utilman.exe

Alternatively, you lot can practise this via file explorer, but you may demand to take ownership of the file. First confirm utilman.exe.bak exists in c:\windows\system32. If information technology does, locate utilman.exe > right-click > select Properties > Security > Advanced > at the peak next to Owner select Modify > nether Enter object name to select type administrators > OK > then select Administrators under Group or user names > select Edit > check box for Full Command > click OK to the prompts > delete utilman.exe.

Now locate utilman.exe.bak and rename to remove .bak from file proper name. Yous may need to perform the same steps above to have ownership to rename. When that is done, you can restore permissions to TrustedInstaller business relationship past post-obit this guide: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-restore-trus...
